CYBORGANIC HIRES CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR -- Stanford MBA Brings Extensive Experience to Execute Business Development and CFO Functions for Online Start-Up --

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. December 9, 1996 -- The Cyborganic Corporation today announced the appointment of Mark Beere as chief financial officer/business development director in a move to poise themselves for the second round of venture financing and the ensuing rapid expansion once the financing is complete. Mr. Beere brings with him an MBA from Stanford University in Palo Alto and over a decade of business experience that ranges from small business management and new media business development to financial analysis and real estate investment banking.

"Very few people in this industry have combination of extensive business experience, thorough understanding of the Internet and new media, and vision for online community development that Mark does," explained Jonathan Steuer, president and CEO of The Cyborganic Corporation. "We're very excited to have him as part of our team. He's already shared with me some really exciting ideas about how to further promote online community interaction and creative, professional content development. His creativity is balanced with a refreshing business sense and solid decision making capabilities."

"Mark's current focus, for at least the next few weeks," continued Steuer, "is to work with me to finish cranking out our new business plan and to seek second round financing during December. Our primary goals are to expand our range of member services, build-out our new physical space, launch more original Web content, and ramp-up our membership marketing efforts. With Mark on board, we have all the essential building blocks in place to take our whole operation to the next level."

"It's really exciting to have joined a company with such great potential," commented Mark Beere, CFO and business development director for The Cyborganic Corporation. "I joined Cyborganic because I think we have a unique approach to building a viable online community anchored in a chain of real-world retail venues. It's a great blend of my real estate finance experience and my online community experience. We have a great opportunity to show the planet why and how online publishing communities are so important!"

Mark joins Cyborganic with experience in real estate investment from LaSalle Partners, where he also served as a financial analyst for special investments. His entrepreneurial experience has involved emerging Internet technologies and online services all the way to running a very real-life house painting company. Most recently, Mark Beere was with Tandem Computers working on business development and strategy for new online markets. There he frequently evaluated business plans of multimedia and online service start-ups seeking Tandem venture funding.
